Bikes: 2003 Specialized Rockhopper FSR Comp, 1999 Specialized Hardrock Comp FS, 1971 Schwinn Varsity

1997? Any of the new 8/9 speed Shimano's will work fine. Don't get the "low normal" or "Rapid Rise" versions though as your shifting will work backwards
