Yep. However, even though something may be covered by insurance, you do have the option to not to file a claim based how it might affect future premiums. I do in fact have a high deductible on my homeowner's....but my wife's and my newest bikes together cost over twice that. I have not even bothered to investigate the need for or the cost of a rider for them however as I basically self ensure for losses like that. But I'm an older guy with some saving. People at other points in their lives may have different circumstances to consider.
