That's excatly what I meant.
A knobby studded tire within a 1.9-2.3 width is ideal for most conditions. Personally I am using 26x1.9 schwalbee snow studs mounted on 36mm rims. That's not skinny to me. I also believe that a real fat bike is an overlkill and unneccessary for most commuting situstions.
But a fat bike would be FUN for those snowy commutes.
