I would probably ride whichever one you feel comfortable riding most of the time. I ride a regular road bike with 700 X 25C. I was out yesterday here in west central NH riding in the snow and I'm out again today in the slush snow. The only time I've had any problem is when I forget where I live and end up turning off the highway onto the road I live on(very low traffic volume) and end up going over on ice. I did that back in January and wanted to kick myself for not even thinking about the fact that it had been freezing mist all day long and was now freezing rain. I should have known better. Anymore I ride in just about anything as long as I'm not being a whimp and staying in where its dry.
