Look around in the SS/Fixed forum and see what some of those guys are using in the way of wheels.
Nashbar and Surly have some pretty decent deals on new frames.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so what looks good to me is likely not what looks good to you.
For us older fatter people, frames aren't usually a problem, but wheels are, so if you're going to be jumping around, pay some attention there. Or if you happen to be younger and fatter, just don't go jumping on/off curbs, period.
