i didn't ride there, but i was there for a week last april. i could see it being pretty good for riding, but once you get out of san miguel, there's pretty much nothing, so if something goes wrong, you're out of luck. the east side of the island (also called the windward side, i think) is beautiful, but there is literally nothing but one road that runs along the beach and maybe a restaurant every 2 or 3 miles.
