I'd hate to disagree with you, but from what I read, more rake decreases trail. So, Lugnut's should have less trail.
Roughly measuring the trail of my Titan a couple of times w/ the Italvega fork, I came up w/ a 5.3 / 5.4 cm of offset. I used a string line & carpenter' square which seemed to be pretty accurate...

BB - front axle = 59.7 cm
HT angle = 74.5

Your Titan is by no means 'a lousy frame'...!

Nice set of forks here. Most likely will need cutting down to fit, then re-threaded. Prolly cost more than the frame though? My frame was only $135 & I had the forks. They needed the same said machining, then painting to match. In the end...it was well-worth it. It's a great ride!
