In fact, comparing the geometry to the Wilier Cento1 Superleggera, which is Wilier's "ultimate superlight racing machine", it is identical, give or take a millimeter. The geometry is very different than a Specialized Roubaix which has slacker head and seat tube angles and an appreciably longer wheelbase. Is this classification as an endurance bike based all on the frame construction or what?
Wilier's "ultimate superlight racing machine" is the Zero 7. When you compare the Gran Tourismo to the Zero 7, the GT has a shorter head tube (2.4 mm in the XL.)

That said, I think you just need to ride it and see how you like it, and how it fits your purposes.

I think it's likely you will like it. Also, the marketing distinctions on bike is a bit overblown; there's no reason you can't race on a Gran Tourismo, or pound it on your local group rides.
