You don't need a sports doctor. You need an expert on diaphragm ruptures. (If those exist!) There are two questions which you need answered, for which I can't easily find answers in the academic literature:

* Once torn, will your diaphragm ever return to normal strength (or anywhere close)?
* If so, how long does it take?

Until and unless it's back to normal, no weight lifting, no jumping, no riding over potholes on a stiff bike, and no intervals.

When my first surgeon asked me what could have caused the damage, I said I dropped a 225 lb bar bell on my chest once and said that is not enough.
I wouldn't be so sure. http://www.thebiglead.com/index.php/...potters-doing/
