You waited two years to get this bike and you aren't out riding?! Come on it didn't rain yesterday. VERY NICE! Forget the flipping and slamming; proper fit is more important. I think white shoes will get dirty fast and require cleaning time; stick with black. Depending on how many miles you ride, you can wait on tires until the ones on the bike start getting flat. I'm pretty happy with the Schwalbe Duranos that came stock on the Synapse. Rubber does age, so purchasing too far in advance may not be a great ideaand you already have a shopping list.

That seat pack looks like it can hold everything you need for road repairs. I have Topeak medium Aero wedge on both of my bikes. I don't like stuffing metal objects into my jersey pockets for fear of falling having them impaled into my body in the event of a fall, even a zero mph tip over.

I test rode the Madone 5.2 and it was a very nice bike!
