Spring break cycling trip or new wheelset???
What is up for grabs is a spring break cycling trip to Bryson City, North Carolina that will take place the last week of March that is being held for the UW-Madison college cycling club. There will be about 60 people that will be staying in 3 different cabins and there are rides and events planned out that sounds really fun. We will travel from Madison WI which will be about a 12 hour drive. The cost of the trip is $400 for lodging for a week, food, events, etc...
I have just seriously gotten into cycling about 8 months ago and love everything about it. I have been looking at getting a new wheelset for racing this upcoming season because I am not happy with my current one. I have found a nice budget set of racing wheels for about (you guessed it!) $400. So I have made the decision that I need to decide between one of these two options.
I've never been on a cycling trip before let alone hang out with this many cyclists for a week. I think I would really enjoy the trip and meet a ton of cool people and be introduced to whole different aspect of the sport.
If you were in my shoes, what would you do?
