I don't understand all the focus on loosing so much weight this fast, actually I do understand it but it is wrong. About half a year ago I lost about 30 pounds at a rate of 1-3 pounds a week. I never worried about what the speed was or about how long it was going to take to reach my goal. I can now eat what I want and just follow my appetite without gaining any weight.
The reason for this is that I realized I needed to permanently start eating differently, meaning the right mixture of Fat, Carbs and Proteins and the right quantity. Permanently, meaning you need to start doing this for the rest of your life. So it was irrelevant for me if it was going to take me 1 month or 1 year, it was going to happen when it happened. I was still weighing myself daily, but that is because I am a number geek, however the focus was always on eating the right stuff and changing the long term eating habits that make sure the weight loss is permanent.
