I thought I would link to my website to show a portfolio of my work from a bike tour across Iowa in early October. We rode about 420 miles, half of it on gravel roads from Sioux City to Guttenburg. Our biggest impression was the people, who were some of the friendliest and most considerate I have met anywhere. We were invited into community centers for coffee, most people on the dusty gravel roads almost came to a stop when meeting us to keep from dusting us and the people of the small towns were very interested in talking to us. The landscapes were beautiful, the corn and bean harvest was in full production and we had great weather. Being from Wisconsin I had spent some time in northeastern Iowa, but otherwise only seeing Iowa on drives out West. We felt it was a great way to experience the landscapes and meet the people of Iowa. If you're from Iowa, you can be proud of the way the state represented itself to us.
