Send me the Sprint RD instead of throwing it in your parts bin. They are solid, very nice derailleurs.
Well, I tried IS with the regular Sprint RD and it didn't work. It would work with half the cluster and not the other, hi-lo, take your pick. I think the AP RDs have an extra spring and are spaced with 7 sp. detents in mind. I shopped for a Sprint 9000, but they were/are ridiculously overpriced, so I settled on the Cyclone 7000. This thread is almost two years old. I will say the AP is indeed, tad fussier than SIS, but I am sucker for 80s Suntour elegance.
