Cool vid.

I used to ride out to North Pole when I was a kid, but in the summer. Good to see people up there are still crazy. We took the tandem up to Fbkx this past summer for my 50th HS reunion. Freeways are new, kids drive loud jacked up trucks instead of loud chopped hotrods, but nothing much else had changed. My wife wondered why the streets were all in such bad shape.
We rode out to Harding Lake for the picnic. That was nice. We saw one other bike that day. Another day, we saw a tourist coming back from the North Slope, his bike making the most amazing noises. I think everything on it was shot except the frame. He asked us where the nearest bike shop was.
We were only there for a few days, but wore out the drive chain from the grit. We got it replaced at Beaver Sports. Simon's the best mechanic I ever met.
Back in the day, no one rode in winter. What hubs are you running, with what grease?
