What shifters are you using on the Univega?
Deore (MT-60) thumb shifters. They have steel clamps so I was able to get them on a road bar even though they are meant for a flat bar.
I like thumb shifters in general but I tend to ride in the drops on the mtb so I'm considering going with Kelly Take-offs or brifters to allow shifting from the drops more easily. also have considered going the SS route (mostly to see how light i can get the build
