Still raining and approaching flood levels along the creek. Already I was riding through three inches of water in several places.

I tend to watch it pretty closely and I highly recommend checking the National Weather Service's "Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service" The predictions are hit and miss but the current water levels are always dead on and valuable to know. If it only gets over the banks by half a foot as predicted for Friday I can ride through it but there are other higher spots that don't drain to the creek which can get much deeper depending on how fast the rain comes. It seems strange to me, formerly of arid climes, but if it rains steady all week I'll be ok on that route but just one really hard rain and I'll have to go around.
