Its not that simple...you can build a rediculously stiff frame out of either material. Track bikes are built for stiffness without consideration for comfort. True, track bikes aren't optimal for road riding, but its not going to destroy the fun or anything. I can ride centuries on my aluminum track bike without any real discomfort.
