I used to do laps on Central when I lived near Scott & El Camino. Something like Scott to Central to De La Cruz and a U-turn, then Central to San Antonio and another U-turn, then back to De La Cruz to Lafayette to El Camino and back to the house.
You could do Lawrence to Central to San Antonio and back.
Or... just n+1 and get the CX bike. Eat bugs on the bay all summer.
