Two more notes --
looking at the photos side-by-side, it appears that the top tube on the Sirrus angles upwards, as compared to the more flat Lucas Valley. The lower, less-upright angle of the Lucas Valley is my preference, I think.
For what it's worth, here is the geometry info on the bikes. Note that the Sirrus has a significantly (? - 44mm) shorter wheelbase. From what I understand, this would provide better handling, but reduced high-speed stability. ??
