No need to haul 100# of gear unless you want to, check out the touring forum and look for the posts on ultralight touring. I ride in the humid heat of the Deep South, just go a bit slower and pick shady routes.

Yep... my normal camping load is about 30 pounds. I'd like to go lighter, but this is manageable. 100 pounds? Not for me.
