i think you are going to have more more problems than just the levers....do you have v-brakes? if so, you are going to have to make sure that the road levers will pull enough cable to create enough stopping power. You can use "travel agents" for that and it should be ok. also, you may have to replace your stem because chances are the drops wont fit in the mtb stem that you have. if your existing brake levers will fit on the drops (on the tops, obviously), then you might be good to go. otherwise you could just get some top-mounting cyclocross levers and use those...but then you wouldnt have road levers so you wouldnt be able to ride in the hoods, or brake from the drops, which sort of defeats the purpose of putting drops on the bike to begin with.
