Franklin frames is local to you and has a good rep. Their frames show up every now and then on Ohio area CL; I believe we've been asked about them before.

I don't think there's one good source on American custom builders. Some of the better known ones-- Eisentraut, Spectrum, etc-- have begun to show some gains in value, so I don't expect prices on them to stay down forever.
