I have XM-L emitters in T6, U2 and U3 varieties in my different lights. It would seem that how they're driven and the reflector used make a lot more difference than the emitter. I sometimes wonder how many lights sold as U2 are actually T6 (can't tell by looking and most don't have the equipment to measure the difference).
