Lots of tourists and tyros drive their SUVs heck bent to over fished locations in our area, so many are blithering idiots. Fairly late in the fall a trio followed a logging road to a stream, when it was heading toward dark, they started out, only to find the logging road gate locked. No cell service, not sure exactly where they were, temp dropping toward freezing. Finally one headed out on foot, after a while he got touch of cell service, enough to call for help, but he couldn't tell the authorities where he was. A very smart woodsman finally was able to figure about where they were, contacted the logging co to get some keys and finally found these guys well after dark. Often ride my bike to less molested fishing spots to float a small dry fly with a short rod and some 3 wt line, split my rod into two sections, attach it to the top tube with two pant cuff ties, let it hang over the back tire.
