Hahah yeah I live in Silver City so I am right smack in the middle of the Tour of the Gila. I actually enjoy watching the downtown crit about 50 yards from my house! Hopefully this year I will be fit enough to do a one day race on the crit day.

As for the race, the one I signed up for is The Presidio of Tucson crit. I saw it was only a crit and not a stage race and didn't want to race consistent days for my first race, plus its amateur only which attracted me. I took a look at the course and it looks pretty basic.

Tucson is the shortest distance away, other than the Tour of the Gila, where I can race. If I don't absolutely die and decide to crush my bike ( kidding) in that race I have a couple more races planned out in April here in NM and once I move to Phoenix for med school this summer I want to do some racing over there too! (if my legs hold up)
