I mounted a set of Soma thumbshifters on the stem of my Hillborne with Bosco Bars, it would work well with mustache bars also. They keep the bar uncluttered and the shifters right in the middle of everything. I think Rivendell has a stem mount for shifters now, that would make a more compact unit.
