My apologies; I didn't see the original link (and to be honest this is the first time I've ever seen a Mannesmann decal on a bicycle; beautiful typography, I might add).

Mannesmann is actually kind of a materials-research lab/firm (my dad did some contract telecom work for them back in the '60s); if I recall correctly, they're heavily involved in battery development and currently owned by Nokia.
