I wonder if anyone has ever tried brazing down tube shifter bosses and cable stops on a bar? This is something I was thinking of last night. I am currently working on a drop bar mtb conversion and want to keep the old Suntour indexed shifting. Finding 6 speed indexed bar ends (let alone at a reasonable price) does not seem likely. I am leaning towards using the flat bar shifters on the bar ends as others have done here. Note sure about the ergonomics of that scenario though, not to mention I like my wrap to be perfect.
