If I end up keeping my commuter ss/fixed I'll probably pony up the extra $15 to get a silver flip flop hub instead of black so it matches the front.
I think my only hard personal aesthetic rule is cranks must be silver (unless carbon, which I have no interest in). Scuffed up black cranks look terrible.
