As I said, I want at least a 5-speed if possible. Despite the extra cost I'm probably going to get the 8-speed Papillionaire over the 3-speed. If not that, I was originally considering the 5-speed Bobbin, but the recent suggestion of the 7-speed (IIRC) Novara Transfer was more appealing from a functional standpoint.

I do not expect to be anywhere near any mountains in the foreseeable future. Georgetown is hilly enough though that I do want a good low gear, hence, the desire for something better than a 3-speed.
