I'm also material neutral....I will always have favorites due to my age. But I'd ride CF if the price it right.
That may be sooner than later, given the chance to buy one cheap (relatively) working for a bike shop.
Contemplating a Giant TCR w/ full Ultegra 6700. It's a fantasy for the time being.

The material is 'immaterial' at this point. The enjoyment of the ride experience is all that matters now, and classic or modern steel, aluminum, or Ti, or CF, has little affect on this old engine.
