Competitive Cyclist "French Fit"

I was using the sizing calculator on CC based on the frame I recently ordered. My goal was to be as comfortable and relaxed as possible. It definitely put me on a frame with an effective top tube about 1cm longer than what I'm on now (Currently though I have handlebars up high on spacers and rotated up more than I'd like). the new frame has a head tube much taller than what I have now as well. I guess the intention is to have less of a drop between saddle and bar so I'm not craning my neck as much to look forward, as well as to not rely on spacers as much.

Based on the calculator I'm setting myself up for the "French Fit" which seems appropriate but does anyone else out there use this? Any feedback on this "Style"?
