Are my brand new Shimano 105 shifters busted?

New to the thread here. Just looking for some quick advice.
I just installed my new Shimano 105-5700 group, however I think there is a issue that I am not familiar with. When shifting to the last position to trim the big ring, the audible indexing 'click' is significantly quieter than the previous shifts. I understand that the last position should require half the throw as the first 3 positions, but this quietness seems odd. When I was still using the Soras, the LS also had 4 trimming positions but all 4 of them made an identical 'click' despite the final half trim. My suspicion is that maybe I stripped the indexing plate inside the actual LS when I was adjusting the FD and over tightened the cable tension. Maybe I am just being paranoid and this is actually how the 105's work, but I was wondering if anyone has the same experience.

Here is a video of what I mean, excuse the phone camera quality and the chirping birds;
