Is this for a general set of wheels? How aero do you need them to be? What appeals about 'aero' wheels to you.

The only real drawback to Deep-Vs is the weight penalty but this is pretty true of most non-carbon 'aero' rims. Depending on your budget I would look at DT Swiss and Kinlin rims. However most 'aero' ALU rims are going to be too shallow to have really have much of an aero effect.
