Regrase...loctite....never had an issue...bike is torn down totally once per year for parts etc...have no pf30 bikes. I will admit my miles are down due to life changes. But, good for you, you're good at doing this yourself. For recreational riders like me who don't and can't, we have to bring the bike to the LBS to have it maintained. For recreational riders like me a bike that needs fewer trips to the LBS is a relatively better bike to own. From what I've been reading so far, for recreational riders like me then, it's best to get a bike with external bearings. Would you say that this is a fair or valid statement? And if not, why not? Just for my education.
