Can you see the bottom bracket threading?
I suspect the "foot pegs" are the pedals.
Do I see tubulars?
I agree with T-Mar '86ish sounds right because of the Index, and pump peg. Bianchi shows the '86 Limited as having 600EX SIS but it has traditional brake cable routing.
Good catch! I didn't pick up the tubulars and large flange hubs. That explains the Fiamme rim discrepancy.
As for the brake levers, New 600EX was offered in both aero and non-aero styles. The non-aero were a new design while the aero version used the old 600AX levers with the logo removed. Manufacturers has their choice and the style is not a reliable indicator of model year.
Normally, SIS would indicate 1986 but it was also a popular upgrade and the serial number is mid-year 1985, so right now I'm thinking the best candidate is a 1985 Bridgestone 700 with upgrades. Given the apparent upgrade to tubulars, the previous owner was probably a racer and SIS would be the next logical upgrade. I'm also thinking that the original New 600EX pedals were probably upgraded to clipless, which were then sold separately, with the Specialized being thrown on to make the bicycle complete.
