Went down to Target and had a look at the 59.99 Manga Fix-D. It does have a flip flop hub, more about that later. The brakes are pressed steel, the tires are grreeeeen, and the famous Manga crankset with the crankarms that seem to weigh 10 lbs and the chainrings that seek too light to hold up a chain are there for the classics seekers. Replace those and you might have a nice fixie on your hands . It does have a threadless headset and what appears to be a nice saddle . I went and bought a used hybrid instead. When I mentioned the flip flop hub to my wife when explaining why there was not a new bike in the garage, she said " A flip-flop hub ? 2 different cogs or a freewheel and fixed ?"
I was so proud.
Free wheel and fixed, BTW . Pretty nice offering for Manga . Or Magna, if you insist. Kinda heavy for a single speed.
