my bike does pretty much the exact same thing, and i've narrowed it down to the pedals, because my BB is fine and my cranks are tight. I have pretty old pedals though so this is probably not the case on your bike, I agree with unsuspended, there are many other places for the noise to be coming from on your bike, grease everything then see what happens.
