I think that being against the "drug war" has made it seem like you're for drugs. I think politicians are afraid of being labeled "stoners" or some stupid crap. I don't see why the gov't doesn't want to legalize pot, then tax it, and do all that, just like they do with tobacco, and alcohol.

For some reason, even staunch religious people think that pot is the demon seed, while alcohol is okay. It doesn't really make sense, as alcohol causes MANY more deaths per year than pot "deaths". People drink, and beat their wives, crash their cars, die from alcohol poisoning, etc.

It's a crazy world we live in...
