This topic is great timing for me. It was suggested a few months ago that the 2010 Campy Veloce Ultrashift(ers) would be perfect to replace the bar-end shifters on my 3x8 Bruce Gordon BLT touring bike. The problem is I can't find them at all. I am finding Shimano Sora ST-3300 3x8 Shifters (found on ebay new package for $130, used no cables/housing latest bid $60). Desperate to start rebuilding the bike. Go with Sora?
