beav, I'm doing the Icicle Metric century ride down in Newark, DE in March. It's run by the White Clay Bicycle Club. It'll be my first time riding it, but it sounds like fun! I live in Cherry Hill, NJ so I know how you feel about difficulty finding good rides.

You may also want to consider the TD Five Boro Bicycle Tour of NYC; they re-opened registration the other day and I think it's not full up yet! It is on the pricey side, but I signed up to ride it for the first time this May.

PS: I ride every Sunday as part of Team Evesham over in Evesham/Marlton. Team has over 100 riders across three classes (A/B/C) and there are rides every Sunday assuming weather/road conditions allow it. If you don't mind the drive, we're always accepting new members and you'd be more than welcome to join!
