I would feel comfortable with a light-duty trailer using 16-gauge (one intended for under 200 lbs), assuming that we're talking about supporting both sides of the wheel. 10-gauge is certainly more than heavy enough. (For those that are not aware, descending gauge #'s are thicker, 16 is thinner than 10)
