We've tried a wool jersey group buy once before.... got really close, but not quite. I think the company was from Portland, used wool from Australia I think? It would have been my first wool jersey, still never tried one. I do have a regular pearl izumi jersey that I since bought, I do like it. I believe IAB headed that one, but we were just a few buyers short of a minimum order. I think IAB would agree with the herding cats thing. It seems beneficial to somewhat limit the choices, otherwise it never seems to come to a conclusion. I don't have the time or energy to organize a group buy, but I may be interested in it if the price was right.

I like this idea too Non-Fixie. We have many members here who are good with design and graphics, Azorch and MKeller come to mind, among others. We have enough members who like wool jerseys that this might work. But the problem has always seemed to be to get everyone to agree on anything. The proverbial "herding cats" syndrome. I wouldn't want to be the one to try to administrate the project. Too much trouble, based on previous attempts I've seen. Which is too bad because I think it would be a cool jersey.
