Hello all,

For the last 3 weeks I have been off the bike, only one or two short rides, mainly crosstraining and on "special assignment" at work, blah blah, also known as transistion period. I am itching to get back on the bike so I am going to ride tomarrow. My aerobic capacity took a hit (likely), my legs feel great but I do not want to get back too fast. Question is how fast do you usually take to get back to regular miles after some time off.

I.e. half my usual ride for a few days and add a little each ride until I get back to 40 - 50 mile rides or should I just jump back in and ride full training milage at a reduced speed? I do not want to shock by aerobic system this time of year.

Another interesting thing I have noticed is I seem to have lost a little bit of flexability... i.e. strange pulling on my area between my thigh and the "man" area... will that get better quick or do I need to spend more time stretching?

Thanks as aways.
