Good to hear, that. Here's a pic of the whole bike, as it stands, with the Brooks (and Selcof post that I'm thinking I might replace with the Campy one waiting for me in Victoria care of jeffpepperdine, though no binder bolt until the mail gets in):

Expect actual riding position might involve that seat moving down a bit from where it is in the picture, which is probably best - word on the street being that the B17 is most optimal without a drastic saddle-to-bar drop. And knowing that the Peugot had practically none, I'm going to assume that has a chance of working out...

Today's (minimal) work: hooked up the all the cables, threw on a new chain, pedals, tightened down a couple of bits...

The braze-on cable stop on the chainstay is a bit tricky, as the inner diameter is small, too small for a regular ferrule - I'm assuming it was intended for use with one of those old 70s/80s Campy coiled steel derailleur housings with the step-down ferrule/end stop...

So I'm trying to track down one of those (my current solution is inelegant at best and should be only temporary), or perhaps determine if a Jagwire 5mm step-down end stop might do the trick (i.e. to actually find one and try it out). Tried three shops today for the latter, no luck...not a good day for luck: needed 22 1/4" bearings for a BB on another bike, got 21 plus a single smaller one that had been mixed in (as I noticed later at home); needed new pads for the 105 calipers on this bike, got 4 left 'feet' (as I noticed later at...)! And the Campy housing is bloody expensive on ebay at the moment...

In any case, not at all far off completion...
