My son and I bough a couple of them and fixed them up to suit us. His is completely stock except for removing parts. It turned out OK and lost a lot of weight in the process.

I had to change the seatpost on mine because the stock one was too short. I ended up with more of a FGFS look, but needed the BMX bars to bring the bars level with the seat, obviously the frame is too small for me.
I only have about 50 miles on it and have enjoyed it so far, the 38mm tires help soften the ride and the pseudo-track frame make it fairly nimble. It did require a lot of maintenance to get it rideable, including changing the rear cog because it was so out of round.
To quote Anthony Bourdain "It doesn't suck". Not bad for 36 bucks.
