Yeah, I backtracked through the guy I bought it from to find the bike shop he bought it from (he didn't have any information at all about it), and turns out it was owned by the general manager of the LBS. It's a 1994 Bear Valley, with Exage ES FD/RD and Deore LX cantilever brakes. He had upgraded the fork from the stock rigid to the Rock Shox Quadra 21R. I can't wait to pick it up and take it for a spin. I think I'm going to return it to it's natural state: remove the rack and fenders, add some knobbies. I just moved near the Berkshires and I am dying to get out on the trails.
