Almost finished!

I went with some black cotton tape that I had on the bottom of some parts box. Am happy with the result, the handlebar kept a nice slim look cause of the cablegroove and the thin tape.





This was on a test ride that went wrong in the way that I had installed an 8-speed chain. Has been replaced now and it rides more than excellent.
When I was taking these pictures a new neighbour, whom I had met a day earlier, complimented on the bike and he said he had a nice pump laying around that I could take home for a tenner:
