A bit daft on my behalf but I've never owned a bicycle helmet. Considering I've been knocked of motorbikes on more than one occasion I thought I'd better get one.

Went to a local cycle shop and they just showed me the most expensive. I asked whether any have been tested but they just said they have the EU mark for them to sell any. I pointed out that the £9.99 ones also had this EU mark but they couldn't explain any difference. All my motorbike helmets have carried the ACU approved gold sticker (approved for track use) as well as the EU safety mark. Is their a similar label for bicycle helmets or any brands you recommend?
